i have a book that is titled "The directory of cincinnati for the year 1843".?
it is a hard back book and in Very Good Condition. It has the names of everyone whom lived in the Cincinnati area for that year it has William T Truman on the front and has adds for business for that area threw out the whole book .It even has a map of the streets.can anyone tell me if it is worth me taking it to be looked at as far as value or am i just hoping for money that just isn't there.
You can also go to Rootsweb and USGenWeb and look for the email lists and the genealogy web sites that are dedicated to the state of Ohio. This is exactly the type of book that professional and amateur genealogists love to get their hands on.
Can you scan the front cover, and maybe the title/copyright pages, so that if someone is interested you will have that much available for them right away?
I grew up in Cincinnati but in 1843, my ancestors were in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia.
